Focus Areas
Building a Stronger Sandy Springs
Prioritize Public Safety, Preserve Neighborhoods, Improve Quality of Life through Parks, Trails, and Recreational Amenities, and Promote Smart Renewal of Older Commercial Properties.
With your support, I will continue to advocate for policies and initiatives that enhance our city's livability, economic strength, and unique character.
Four Key Focus Areas
1
Prioritize Public Safety
Sandy Springs is known for its safety and maintaining this reputation is crucial. As your City Council representative, I will continue to prioritize public safety by ensuring adequate funding for first responders and to address critical infrastructure needs. The pressing infrastructure needs include replacing aging Fire Station 1 (built in 1968), relocating Fire Station 4 from within the city of Atlanta to better serve southern Sandy Springs, and the Sandy Springs Police Foundation's initiative to establish a Tactical Instruction Center at Police Headquarters.
3
Improve Quality of Life through Parks, Trails, and Recreational Activities
I am committed to enhancing Sandy Springs' quality of life through improved recreational facilities. I will push for accelerated development of multi-use paths and amenities, support realistic funding plans, and advocate for collaborative approaches with the community and private sector.
2
Preserve Neighborhoods
I am committed to protecting our neighborhoods' unique character. This means balancing growth, promoting diverse housing options, and supporting smart development that fosters community spaces and green areas. It is important to maintain the charm and integrity of neighborhoods while responsibly addressing housing needs and economic development in Sandy Springs.
4
Promote Smart Renewal of Older Commercial Properties
Revitalizing aging commercial areas is vital for our city's economic health. I will support major redevelopment projects, advocate for a Commercial Façade Improvement Program, and ensure redevelopment aligns with community goals to improve our city's appeal.
